A little bit more about me

My name is Marina Loretti, but you can call me Tuca. I'm Brazilian and now a Canadian citizen as well, living in Vancouver, Canada, since 2019.

After getting pregnant I was sure that my life would never be the same. Not only because of the responsibility and immeasurable love of having a child, but also because I fell completely in love with motherhood. I couldn't stop studying and researching about it. I realized that I really wanted to surround myself with other people who were going through the same phase and I felt like I had a new purpose! It was really important for me to meet and get closer to other families who were also pregnant and getting ready to give brith. We are always stronger together!

Having graduated in communication and writing and posting videos on YouTube for over 4 years, I always knew I liked sharing experiences. It wouldn't be any different in this new phase of my life. I loved sharing my discoveries, the challenges, the sensations, the pleasures of being pregnant and becoming a mother with so many other people online. It didn't take long for me to feel that accompanying families in this process was my calling - I decided that I would gradually give up my career of more than 12 years in the film idustry, make the transition and officially become a childbirth educator and doula.

In my studies, but mainly talking to women and families from the most different contexts, I realized that in this delicate and powerful moment, what was most lacking and could make a huge difference in the birth experience and the postpartum period was information and support.

I decided that this would be my new life goal. I will continue studying and learning to be able to help as many people as possible to have a gentle and respectful birth and this will only be possible with up-to-date, accessible and quality information about pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period and breastfeeding.
