I do not write this book as Tuca, a perinatal educator and doula.
 I write as an outburst, as a search to heal a trauma for my mother, a postpartum woman, in physical and mental recovery after a birth experience that was out of my control and did not go as planned.
 A personal story about expectations, reality, a sad feeling of impotence in the face of the hospital system and what should really matter in this unforgettable and vulnerable experience that is giving birth.
 In no way do I want my story to make you afraid or make you feel insecure about facing your birth and motherhood.
 On the contrary.
 I hope that hearing my story gives you the courage and confidence to follow your own path - in your own way, respecting your desires.
